Hidimbi

Hidimbi, a Rakshasi, encountered the Pandavas during their forest wanderings. Initially sent by her brother Hidimba to kill them, she instead fell in love with Bhima, admiring his strength. Their union produced Ghatotkacha, who became a great Rakshasa warrior in the Kurukshetra War. Though she withdrew from the epic after Ghatotkacha’s birth, Hidimbi is remembered for her transformation from predator to devoted partner and mother, symbolizing the merging of human and Rakshasa lineages in the service of dharma.
