Kunti, daughter of King Shurasena and foster daughter of Kuntibhoja, was the mother of the Pandavas and one of the most revered women in the Mahābhārata. Gifted with a boon to invoke any deity for children, she bore Karna through Surya before marriage, and later Yudhishthira, Bhima, and Arjuna through Dharma, Vayu, and Indra. After her husband Pandu’s death, she raised her sons with resilience and guided them with wisdom during exile and hardship. Her strength lay in her unshakable resolve and devotion to dharma, even when forced to conceal Karna’s true parentage until near the war’s end. Kunti symbolizes endurance, sacrifice, and a mother’s unyielding spirit in the face of fate’s trials.
