Parashurama, the sixth avatar of Vishnu, was the legendary warrior-sage famed for his vow to rid the world of corrupt Kshatriyas. Wielding the divine axe gifted by Shiva, he annihilated kings 21 times, redistributing land to Brahmins. He became a teacher to many, including Bhishma, Karna, and Drona, imparting martial knowledge. Though a Brahmin by birth, he embodied warrior ferocity, straddling the dual roles of ascetic and destroyer. His refusal to grant Karna the Brahmastra knowledge after discovering his false identity shaped Karna’s destiny. Parashurama remains a paradox—an embodiment of wrath against injustice, yet also of discipline and dharmic knowledge.
